Product Description

The recalled irons (model 17520) are made of purple and white plastic. The "Proctor Silex" trademark is displayed on the side in white letters. The iron was packaged in a white cardboard box with gray lettering, labeled, in part, "EASY PRESS IRON....Model 17520.....Series A1320." The model number 17520 and the series number are located on the back side of the iron, at the bottom. They were manufactured in China.

Reason for Recall

The circuit board inside the steam iron can ignite and present a fire hazard.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using the iron immediately and call the company toll-free to arrange for a free replacement.
