Product Description

The heaters are propane infrared plaque space heaters sold after September 1, 2005. The units are rectangular in shape and the casing has a white finish. The heaters can be mounted on walls or stand on the floor. The name "Legacy" is centered on the front of the heater immediately below the grill. Affected units have one of the following model numbers: RMC-LI6LP RMC-LI10LP RMC-LI10LPT RMC-LI18LP-F RMC-LI18LPT-F RMC-LI30LP-F RMC-LI30LPT-F The model number is located on the right side panel of the unit. All of the heaters were listed by the Canadian Standards Association.

Reason for Recall

Carbon monoxide hazard. A non-specification gasket around the heating plaques could allow heater carbon monoxide emissions to leak into the area in which the heater is being used.

Remedy

The firm is no longer in business, and a remedy is no longer available. Consumers should discard or destroy the product.
