Kubota Recalls Riding Mowers Due to Fire Hazard (Recall Alert)

This recall involves orange-colored Kubota ZG100 Series Zero Turn riding mowers with the following model and serial numbers: Model ZG124E with serial numbers between 10002 and 12179, Model ZG123S with serial numbers between 10002 and 12505, Model ZG127E with serial numbers between 10002 and 11574 and Model ZG127S with serial numbers between 10003 and 12959. Kubota is printed on the front of the mower and on the side. The model and serial numbers are printed on the data plate on the left part of the frame near the operator's foot area.. Recalled by Kubota Manufacturing of America Corp., of Gainesville, Ga.. Units affected: About 8,600.

The fuel tank's pressure relief valve can malfunction, causing the tank to expand and rub against the transmission drive belt and drive cooling fan. This can wear a hole in the fuel tank and cause a fuel leak, posing a fire hazard.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mowers and contact Kubota for a free repair. Kubota is contacting its customers directly.
