Product Description

The overall size of the wooden changing table is 42 inches long by 26 3/4 inches wide by 36 inches high. The front of the unit has three doors, behind a door are toddler steps that slide out and in when not in use, while the other doors house a storage area with two sliding drawers. The top changing table has a quilted vinyl pad, built-in safety straps, and a wall shelf unit. The recalled changing tables with steps were manufactured prior to December 1, 2000.

Reason for Recall

When one of the front doors is open, a child's finger can become stuck inside spaces between parts of the hinges, causing finger crushing or pinching to occur while the door is closing.

Remedy

Consumers should stop using these changing tables immediately and contact Childcraft Education Corp. to receive a free repair kit. Purchasers were sent direct mail notification of this recall.
