Recall Insight
The number of affected units is not disclosed in the agency filing, which is common for drug and food recalls where lot-level tracking supersedes unit counts. Distribution scope (see Distribution below) directly affects the consumer exposure window and determines whether a recall remains regional or escalates into a nationwide advisory. Consumers holding this product should act on the agency's documented remedy above rather than relying on general guidance.
Within the same product category the archive holds 6 closely related recalls, 3 from NHTSA - clustering in a narrow category often points to a systemic quality-control or supplier issue rather than a one-off defect. Always verify the recall number against the official agency record before acting.

Reason for recall
ON CERTAIN HEAVY DUTY TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH IROS REAR AIR SUSPENSIONS, DURING ASSEMBLY, FOUR BOLTS AND NUTS HOLDING THE MAIN SUPPORT MEMBER BUSHING BAR PINS TO THE MAIN SUPPORT MEMBER HANGERS WERE INCORRECTLY TIGHTENED.
Hazard
THE NUTS COULD WORK LOOSE OR FALL OFF ALLOWING THE BOLTS TO FATIGUE AND FAIL THE CONNECTION BETWEEN A MAIN SUPPORT MEMBER BUSHING AND FRAME HANGER. SEPARATION OF THE MAIN SUPPORT MEMBER ASSEMBLY FROM THE FRAME MOUNTED HANGER BRACKET COULD RESULT INCREASING THE RISK OF SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE.
